Insurance companies require certification for anyone performing hot work. With a hot work course, you acquire the necessary and mandated knowledge about how a fire can start and develop. You also learn the measures that must be taken to safely conduct hot work and how to extinguish a fire if it occurs. The hot work certificate is valid for 5 years in both Norway, Denmark, and Finland.

Hot work involves the use of tools that generate enough sparks or heat to potentially start a fire. Examples of hot work include welding, cutting, grinding, angle grinding, soldering, torch-applied roofing, hot air tools, and any other use of open flame.
The certification is valid in Norway, Finland, and Denmark for 5 years before it needs to be renewed.
The course will be available for 1 year after purchase and must be completed within 21 days after you first start the course.
Hot work certification is personal, meaning that everyone performing hot work must have a certificate.
