The goal

The course Electrical Inspection in Road Traffic Systems – NEK 405-3-2 is a preparatory program for the certification exam and is based on the qualification requirements defined in this standard.

NEK 405-3-2 is a sub-standard within the NEK 405 series, providing methodology and certification schemes for third-party assessment of electrical installations and equipment in the road sector. The purpose is to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. The standard also forms the basis for third-party evaluation of operation and maintenance contracts and general inspection assignments. Although primarily designed for the road sector, the model is relevant for the entire transport sector and critical infrastructure.

Typical clients include road authorities such as the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Nye Veier, counties, and municipalities.
