Masters and crew of survival craft and rescue boats (lifeboats and man-overboard boats, excluding fast rescue boats), in accordance with STCW Code Table A-VI/2-1.

Course participants must have previously completed basic training in proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats in accordance with STCW Code Table A-VI/2-1.
Option 1: Documentation of a valid Certificate of Competency as a deck officer, engineer officer, or electro-technical officer (ETO), or a valid course certificate in accordance with STCW Code Table A-VI/2-1 (i.e. not older than five years).
Option 2: If the participant does not hold a valid officer’s certificate or a valid course certificate in accordance with STCW Code Table A-VI/2-1, documentation of at least 12 months of seagoing service within the last five years may be accepted, provided it was accumulated while holding a valid officer’s certificate or a valid course certificate in accordance with STCW Code Table A-VI/2-1.
