What is Ex course?

The authorities require documented training in explosion protection for anyone entering an Ex area. In Trainor's Ex course, you will gain knowledge of basic fire and explosion theory. You will learn about potential ignition sources, the regulations governing access and work in explosive areas, and how to interpret labels on Ex equipment.

Who needs to take Ex course?

If you work in or with electrical installations in explosive atmospheres within the EU/EEA, you are required by law to complete an Ex course every 5 years. This applies to both electrical and other executing personnel, as well as administrative personnel. Explosive atmospheres can include oil platforms, process plants, refineries, distilleries, tankers, silos, or petrol stations. We also offer specialized Ex courses for manufacturers and suppliers of Ex equipment.
